Unlock Your Potential with Forkum's Fortitude Coaching and Absolute Awaken by guesting on The Divine Debate Podcast.
When you agree to be on the podcast, we'll showcase you, your background, the topic, your stance on the topic, and your conclusion. There will be a 200-character limit for formatting purposes.

Imagine two people standing on opposite sides of a heated healthy debate. They’re ready to share their views, aiming to shed light on the topic so everyone can make informed choices. Two neutral moderators keep the conversation flowing smoothly, no opinions, just guiding the discussion. A timer keeps everyone on track. Each host will have three minutes to introduce themselves, define key words, and give a call to action.
First, the debate kicks off with a brief overview, to set the scene. Then, each guest has two minutes to introduce themselves, their background, and their perspective. After that, the moderators will pose key questions. For each question, both sides get two minutes to respond, followed by two-minute rebuttals. This structure ensures a dynamic, fair exchange of ideas, helping the audience understand different viewpoints and make informed decisions. It’s a lively, engaging way to explore complex topics we draw the line in the sand about.
We encourage different vantage points on each topic to bring divine unity in a divided world.

We plan to be live on https://dd.8aa.icu with up to 600 people and on YouTube @absoluteawaken at 7:30 pm Central / 8:30 PM Eastern Time and plan to run for an hour. The recordings will be available on the YouTube channel.
4th Monday Monthly @ 7:30pm Central Time

Opposite sides often ignite a heated, yet healthy debate, fueling a clash of perspectives that challenges minds and broadens horizons. These discussions, rooted in passion and conviction, spark energy and curiosity, pushing us to question assumptions and explore new ideas. When conducted with respect and openness, such debates become vibrant exchanges that deepen understanding and inspire growth. In the end, it’s not just about winning an argument, but about enriching our worldview through the fiery dance of contrasting opinions.

The Divine Debate Podcast is designed to encourage unity in a divided world using debate.
But this is not a debate where the loudest one wins..
This debate's winner will be the one who articulates their point clearest with the best points (listener and hosts decided) while respecting the other's viewpoint.

The hosts will launch the time off with 3 minutes a piece to introduce themselves, the topic at hand, and a way you can get involved in future episodes. Next each guest will have precisely 2 minute to introduce themselves, their background, and their side of the debate. After that, the hosts will pose key questions. For each question, both sides get 2 minutes to respond, followed by 2-minute rebuttals. This structure ensures a dynamic, fair exchange of ideas, helping the audience understand different viewpoints and make informed decisions. It’s a lively, engaging way to explore complex and divisive topics we tend to draw the line in the sand on.

Dee Zimmerman:
Background-Money Coach for Couples (who have trouble talking about money without a fight)
Topic-Is the Bible “inerrant” or interpretive and deeply human?
Perspective-My side of the topic is the latter: it’s both interpretive and deeply human (and we can discuss in the podcast what I mean by that)
My conclusion is that we don’t need a white-knuckle grip on biblical inerrancy in order to have a deep and genuine relationship with God. In fact, the pursuit of certainty and “right beliefs” can sometimes become a distraction from the heart of faith itself. I believe curiosity, wonder, humility, mystery, and even doubt can open us more honestly to God than rigid certainty ever could. My hope is to move beyond the fences we build around who is “in” and who is “out,” and instead toward a faith centered on love, compassion, and seeing every person as deeply valued by God.

Larry Duffany:
Topic: Biblical Inerrancy
My Position.
There are many different schools of thought when it comes to the issue of Biblical Inspiration and Biblical Inerrancy. The truth is one cannot be separated from the other. If God literally dedicated the words of Scripture to humanity - then we must take each and every word as indisputable and inerrant fact. That would lead to a problem of having to read the whole of the Bible in exactly the same way - with no room for interpretation. The Holy Bible is wholly true.
However, when we look at Scripture and realize that the Holy Spirit inspired the Sacred Authors, who were truly authors in their own right, to reveal the Truth about who God is and God's plan for humanity, the truth of the Bible comes more clearly into focus. The Bible is not a book of science, nor is it a book of history, although it is historical and contains and expresses some history. Rather it is the story of our experience of God and our seeking understanding -in other words it is a book of theology that tells the whole of salvation history.
What this means is that the Bible is not inerrant when it comes to the telling of history. It means that it is inerrant in revealing who God is, who man is, who we are in relationship to God and to each other. It is not inerrant as to the nature of sin, God's ability to save, and his saving act.
